Nearby Bedgebury Forest and Bewl Water provide cycling and walks.

The Kent and East Sussex coast is within easy reach and boasts sandy and pebbled beaches, lined with charming seaside towns and villages. Head towards the coast and you’ll reach the medieval town of Rye, which is well worth a visit for its selection of independent pubs, restaurants and antiques shops, while nearby Camber boasts miles of soft golden sand.

Or head to Tunbridge Wells to admire the fascinating history and architecture of the famous colonnaded walkway of the Pantiles, and maybe sneak in some shopping too!
